Yearbook Works

These are some of my photos, quotes, social media posts, and page spreads that I have created for my school yearbook. I was a part of the yearbook staff team for all of high school, so I had the opportunity to work and learn in each of the many different areas of a journalistic program.

Throughout my time as a yearbook staff member, photography and gathering quotes were my main contributions. I was at almost every school event taking photos, videos, and interviewing students and teachers alike for yearbook spreads and social media posts. These experiences greatly improved my social skills and helped me overcome my initial shyness. Additionally, I loved being able to go behind the scenes at events like pep-rallies, football games, and homecoming parades!

Additionally, I learned to design graphics and yearbook spreads using software such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign. Design became a large portion of my contribution during the 2020-2021 online school year, since I wasn’t able to photograph school events but I did have access to our yearbook designing and social media post creation sites. These skills and experiences followed me out of sophomore year and still stick with me today, where I am now learning to design websites and more!
