KDGN – Broadcast Program

('', "These are some of my works from my school's broadcast program, KDGN. Having been a part of my school's media program for all of high school, I am well versed in programs such as Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Davinci Resolve.")

('', 'I was the Creative Director of our program, which meant that I oversaw the creation of the intro and outro, credits, and design of each episode. Additionally, as Creative Director, I was tasked with using my experience with special effects, graphics, and transitions to enhance the quality and uniqueness of our segments. As a leader, I learned the different filming, interviewing, and editing techniques of each of our team members, and introduced them to video styling tools that suited their style. Finally, at the end of the year I was tasked with creating video editing tutorials for the future new KDGN members, which covered everything from basic speed changing to advanced special effects.')

('', 'Outside of creating journalistic and informative content, I love creating humorous videos and experimenting with different editing styles, multimedia, and special effects. I hope to further this passion in college and am always eager to learn more!')

('The Official KDGN Outro Sequence', 'This is the sequence that plays at the end of every KDGN episode. When designing the outro, I wanted to create a seamless transition from our anchors to the credits, and thus came the idea to have the anchor footage shrink to the corner while the credits start rolling. Additionally, I was responsible for crediting everyone who appeared in or worked on each episode, from the students we interviewed to the photographers behind our Sports Desk segment.')

('Robotics Deep Dive', 'This is the segment I created for the spring VEX Robotics tournament that we hosted in our own school. Being a part of our robotics program certainly helped me in creating this segment, as it made the process of getting interviews from fellow classmates much easier. I was able to get the perspectives of both the robotics beginners who were competing in their first competition and the robotics alumni who returned to judge the event. I also really enjoyed interviewing the young robotics summer campers and hearing their perspective on the competition.')

('Classic KDGN', "This is the classic style that our program had. Whenever our recurring segments didn't fit the story, we would produce these one-time videos to showcase whatever events were happening.")

('Mascot Madness', "This is a segment that showcased all the weird, wacky, and wild school mascots across the nation. I was responsible for finding and compiling the different mascots, as well as designing and editing the segment's theme.")

('Yearbook Deep Dive', 'For this segment, I followed around our yearbook staff, filming them as they put together the yearbook during the last week before the deadline. I wanted to highlight the stress and chaos of the last-minute yearbook production while also giving a glimpse into all the extracurriculars that our school offers.')
